Now and Then

Was looking through some earlier posts and found the girl with a teddy bear. Some reason I like drawing girls with teddy bears and thought it would be interesting to show a then and now. The sketch is from earlier this month and the other is from 2009. Also made me realize that I didn't post enough or for that matter draw enough since leaving college. This is unacceptable and the situation will be remedied.

Day 30!

Can't believe it's really been 30 days! Met my goal, but I am having so much fun with this that I think I will keep it up. It's been really good at getting me to sketch everyday and get in the habit of posting things.

Here's a quickie. Had to draw a self portrait for class today. Not really very happy with it. Hopefully I'll get some good tips when he goes over it later. Also you can only erase so many times with newsprint before it won't take anymore.

Was gone for the long weekend so I'm starting right off where I left today. The other sketch is me just trying something a little different then what I'm used to.

Had plenty of time since we got out of work early today, so I decided to try making today's in illustrator. This one definitely took the longest to finish.


Couldn't come up with anything that i really loved, so here's the sketches I made. think I'll stick with the top one.

Dropped a heavy object on my foot today. Hurt like the dickens.

Couldn't decide which one I wanted to go with so here are two different versions of today's outfit. The first one is just plane fun while I liked the overall look of the second. Will fix the leg problems in the clean up phase.

iPad app

The iPad app that we created at Lucky Kat TV has been released. It's an educational game with a take on hangman called Daren's Donuts. I did all the animation of Daren the Lion in the game. I'll post some pictures to go with it shortly.

Here is the first of my 30 day challenge of drawing and posting what I wore today. The idea is to post that days outfit before midnight that day and that I can not use the same pose twice. Here is yesterdays and todays will be posted a little bit later. The idea came from seeing this done on a couple different blogs that I watch and thought it looked like fun.

Stop Motion

Found a great stop motion video that came from Aardman animation. The whole thing was shot on a Nokia N8 (smart phone). Here's the link to the page that shows the video and a making of video to go along with it.

first pass of witch animation

As the title says this is the first rough pass of my witch animation. You can see her if you scroll down a couple posts. Going to try and post this in stages so my dad can see the process.
